…so bored of my dissertation i have written a sonnet.  The sheer desperation of a procrastinating brain never ceases to amaze me. 
 
Emblem of Poor Memory.
 
A flicker on a page sparks mystery,
An innocuous deja-vu impaled
In the fragments of my own history
Enfeebled sensation mulishly veiled.
Are you a mark of the lost memorable,
Enigma of recognition unfound?
A stigmata of the ephemeral

Does anyone ever get this feeling where you watch a movie/re-read a book you used to love but haven’t seen/read for years, and while you’re doing so it dawns on you that some of the plot devices/twists are far too familiar?  Then you realise that it has painfully huge, neon-sign type parallels with that piece of fiction/poem/creative [...]
